If you want a straighter smile without traditional braces, clear aligner therapy with SureSmile® may be the perfect fit. At Eck Dental Partners, Dr. Nathan Eck designs precise, personalized aligner plans that move teeth comfortably and predictably while you enjoy a low-profile, removable option.
Clear aligners are a series of custom, transparent trays that gently guide teeth into position. You’ll change trays on a set schedule and check in periodically with Dr. Eck to confirm progress and refine your plan as needed.

Aligners are for LARGE alignment issues and small alignment issues. Dr Eck is fully trained in both bracket and wire orthodontics and clear aligner and will assess and determine which will be the most effective.
Upper teeth extend too far over the lowers, increasing risks of enamel wear, gum irritation, and jaw discomfort. Aligners help reduce overlap for a healthier bite.
Lower teeth sit in front of uppers, stressing teeth and joints. Treatment rebalances the bite and improves function and profile.
Some upper teeth fit inside the lowers, causing uneven wear and fracture risk. Aligner therapy can reposition individual teeth for even contacts.
Spaces can make the smile look uneven and trap food. Closing gaps improves appearance and makes hygiene easier.
Front teeth don’t touch when biting, affecting speech and chewing efficiency. Aligner mechanics can help bring incisors into contact.
Insufficient space twists or overlaps teeth. Controlled tooth movement and strategic IPR (polishing between teeth when indicated) create alignment and room for better hygiene.
Not always. Aligners handle most mild-to-moderate cases beautifully. For complex movements (severe rotations, large vertical changes), braces may be recommended. Dr. Eck will tell you honestly which option will deliver the most predictable result.
Many patients complete treatment in about 6–12 months, often using 20–24 sets of trays changed about every two weeks. Timing varies by case complexity and wear-time consistency.
They’re nearly invisible, removable for meals and brushing, typically more comfortable than brackets and wires, and often require fewer in-office visits. With good compliance (20–22 hours/day), results are precise and efficient.
Small, tooth-colored “attachments” are common--they give trays better grip for specific movements. Minor “refinement” trays near the end are also common to perfect details.
Most patients adapt within a day or two. Consistent wear helps you adjust quickly.
